November 16, 20205 yr I'm building a computer and loading P3D V5 for a friend. I confess I've away from P3D for a bit; consequently, my knowledge regarding V5 is a little outdated. In short, If he chooses to use EA with P3D V5.1, are the following add-ons necessary: REX SYKFORCE 3D REX ENVIORMENT FORCE I assume environment force is 'required' as I don't believe EA dynamically adjust the shaders? SKYFORCE could be used for the ground textures but I assume the sky textures are redundant? Also, do you believe you need FS GLOBAL MESH (or other)? I know I felt it was necessary for V4 but LM updated the mesh data for V5. Thanks for your advice and saving a simmer some money.... Matt King
November 16, 20205 yr None of this is "necessary" IMHO. What is necessary is a couple of really nice (payware) aircraft that he would like to fly.. Next on my list would be Orbx Global and possibly LC for his local region.. Bert

REX EnvironmentForce has lots of quirks (shading issues - miscolored clouds, "oil-like-colorizing" sometimes on several circumstances on the fuselage of the planes). I use ASP3D (and also have FSGRW) which does do a great JOB with V5.X. There are minor issues which most likely will be solved with the P3D V5.1 HF1, which shouldn´t be so far away anymore... Good luck with building this PC......... 😉 Marcus Regards, Marcus P.
