November 25, 20205 yr I remember from FSX there was a tutorial for tweaks and mods from Word Not Allowed’s he even have a Hardware and Software manual to get the most of the sim.. I have everything in ULTRA in 2K in a 15inchs display and I don’t feel like I’m getting the ULTRA from the SIM It definitely doesn’t look like the video ads from XBox.. but it’s getting kind of slow and honestly I have not clue what the sliders do when I move them.. My PC Specs are: Omen gaming Laptop (I know it’s not the best but it’s what I have) -4K display but I run the game in 2K -GPU RTX 2070 max q -CPU i7 9gen -Ram 16GB -HDD 1tb and 256 Ssd (sim is installed in the HDD) Any advice on how to get the most from the sim with this specs.. I don’t have any mods and all my drivers are updated..
November 25, 20205 yr Hello, You should use your native video resolution (4k) otherwise, your picture is blurry. Decrease some ultra settings, use dev mode + fps display to help you ... Move Fs2020 to an ssd, in french "Ce sera la nuit, le jour" (loading times will be really shortened ..)
November 26, 20205 yr Author Something that really bothers me is the fact that in the distance there’s no 3D buildings.. How can infix that..?
November 26, 20205 yr Pretty sure the high-end system reqs called for a SSD. You can Google videos and writeups on what the various settings do, and spend time in the dev mode tweaking and watching how it impacts your FPS. There's no one-size-fits-all setting, particularly in the case of a laptop.

November 26, 20205 yr this is free, some here don't like it but it helped me a ton with performance. It's a checklist of all sorts of settings, easy to overlook one or two. https://secure.simmarket.com/sofly-ltd-maximise-performance-in-flight-simulator-free.phtml 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. The important settings in the book are in the book that matter are the settings outside the game. I have 2600 super gpu and Ryzen 3600 cpu, very modest hardware. No stutters and locked in at 30 f.p.s. everywhere for the last three months after going step by step to cover all bases. Before doing that I was under 20 fps in places. That lasted one day before I got Windows and vid drivers set. I just did the East Coast discovery flight. Zero stutters whole flight, smooth as glass. And all my in game settings are on the Ultra preset. EDIT: To be fair I am doing this with a 1080p 32" curved monitor. At 1440 or 4K: forget about it with my junky hardware. Better hardware opens up the world to 4K which is closed to me right now.
