Night terrain lighting

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I know the moon phase affects night lighting - but does anyone have this with P3D5 latest hotfix? ORBX and activesky (latest) with EA on.

Too bright for my liking. Day time everything is just how I like it.

Thanks in advance.

Ian.

The complete night lighting has to be improved by LM

I’ve just changed computers and didn’t think it was as bad as this. Managed to reduce it with changing HDR settings. My next task is trying to rid the dawn/dusk skies of banding...

I got the same issues and mentioned it in LM Forum - but no comment on this

I think the reason is the moonlight, which is too bright. There also seems to be a kind of light coming from the terrain, which should not be there

best regards, Mathias

Change your date in the sim to a time where there is a new moon (12/14) and see how it looks.  Should be much darker.  It is a bit too bright although not that far off for a full moon....
