Internet speed drops to 0.0 Mb/ps per second

Featured Replies

Hello, I have been trying to install FS 2020 and have gone through most solutions. When the install gets to 16.0 GiB the internet speed completely drops to 0.0 megabits and stays frozen. I was wondering if an Ethernet cable would make the difference? My internet speed reads at 10.00 megabits on Steam.

Don't know if this will help, but I noticed at times during updates, fixes, etc... if I remember to Run As Administrator, that for me it made a difference. Even then I have had it screaming on the download and then sticks at 0.0 megabits for awhile, and then starts back up again. Seems to me at times it's just a server issue, on their end or internet hickup on my end, who knows actually!

Good luck!

After having a very fast initial install it happened to me on a reinstall but not sure at what point. rebooted sim and computer a couple of times not much help. finally just left it updating overnight and the next day it was done.

Have you fully cold booted your router?  By cold booting I mean unplug it and remove any backup battery for a couple of minutes.  Then replace the battery and reconnect the power and signal cables.  About once a month I find I need to do that.  In my case my speed returns.  I verify my connection at speedtest.net.
