thanks @Tokitaumelie   I'm curious how rain and snow look also?

Done.

Have posted additional pics in the Screenshots Forum.

Appears that when using REX SF weather engine, it does not seem to like changing weather profiles multiple times on a single run - my P3D crashed after changing it a few times.

What works for me now is as per the pics, ActiveSky as weather-engine, ASCA for textures and REX SF for clouds. will probably discard ASCA or REX SF, depending on further testing 🙂

Will try on payware aircraft as well as addon sceneries to see VRAM Loads.

Yeah I’m good with active sky for weather. I’m just looking for something different in terms of clouds

Have posted some pics in the screenshots Forum on SF with the  PMDG B748i. My settings were medium to low and max VRAM observed was around 4.1, following arrival at NZWN.

For KSEA and the enroute phase, was between 3.1 to a max of 3.8 out of a Total available of 5.1GB 🙂

Can only guess what you guys are seeing with your 30&Ti Series

For the BETA itself, can confirm it does not like multiple changes on a single run. It behaves if you follow the normal process i.e. start ActiveSky, start REX SF, load P3D, scenario then fly. Or even loading P3D first and the wx software after.

For me, if you introduce changes after this, like varying the weather theme or other, would always result in a CTD.

Tried the REX Wx engine as well, including the V5 EA Enhanced Weather Engine Preview but could not see any changes on my setup. When enabling EA and using the F35, my VRAM Loads are around 3.5, could not see any semblance of REX Clouds in EA, just the same form as if it was without the SF addon.

Liking the textures so far and working towards a stable configuration.

Hope some of you can post some pics on the same from your cards. Curious to see what Ultra looks like as well the EA version if it does work on some of your systems.

Happy Holidays All

Hi All,

Hope all are safe, and enjoying the festive season, allbeit limited for now...

I have a question... In the PMDG Aircraft, on the setup page in the FMS, I notice an option for weather radar input "AS > REX", anyone know what this is supposed to be?  I am assuming that weather radar will be supported by REX at some point... was hoping someone could shed some light on this...

You can select either ActiveSky or REX as the weather engine for the weather radar.

Will check with REX as primary and revert
