November 24, 200619 yr I got it. I haven't had a lot of time to play with it yet-but I don't think you get ils freqs. You do get amazing info though-I love exploring areas and actually knowing what it is you are looking at. It is a great program-also has the ability to pre pick interesting spots and autopilot to them.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
November 24, 200619 yr I have not purchased it but the original concept was by an author, whose name slips me, but was sold through Abacus called EZ-Landmark. It seems that this new package offering is considerably more flexible and adds more functionality than the original. I had always wondered why the author did not follow through ongoing to improve the functionality of his product. It really was a very creative idea.RegardsBob
November 24, 200619 yr Thanks for the replys, I appreciate it. I guess what I'm looking for is something to subsitute for FSNavigator till it comes out. This would be an even better program if you could get airport and navaid information along with everything else it provides.
November 25, 200619 yr I believe it offers the ability to add user data? Perhaps it might not be too difficult to export the FS comm/nav data and format it for FSDiscover? I don't know how FSDiscover works or if it's user point data structures are accessible/writable? Would be cool if you can organize the data by type and filter between the different types of data "on the fly".Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry

Bob:Wait a sec...Where did you hear that? Are you talking about Konstantin Kukushkin (the author of EZ-Landmark and EZ-VFR)? I hadn't hear that Konstantin was the author of FSDiscover at all.Are you certain?
January 10, 200719 yr I guess what he is saying is that fsdiscover resembles ez-landmark enough to suggest that the former was at least inspired by it and his author.
January 10, 200719 yr Yes, it does provide ILS frequencies. There's a 30-day demo available and it will give you a great idea of all the program has to offer.Robert Robert Chartoff
January 10, 200719 yr Yes, Konstantin is indeed the author of FSDiscover! and has teamed with Flight1 to offer even more. See this news thread from Flight1:http://www.flight1.com/news.asp?mode=view&id=128
