December 17, 20205 yr I have bought voice packs from Ivona and cerevoice and it seems pilotatc does recognize the voices when Press test however when I select use random voices and display random voice assignments.. for example: Chenex two seven one contact Barcelona Control...... VoiceAssigned BARCE Ctrl 119.45 IVONA Brian But all seem to hear is the Microsoft Default David? Not sure what I am doing wrong Thanks Jamie
December 17, 20205 yr Commercial Member This would indicate that P2A is not able to load the IVONA voice and defaults back to David. Check to be sure your voices are installed correctly. Also be sure to reboot your PC after installing any voices. Dave Edited December 17, 20205 yr by Dave-Pilot2ATC
December 20, 20205 yr Author Thanks very much it still seems to happen with some voices, maybe its other software I am using.
December 28, 20205 yr Think I am having the same problem the voices work when tested in pilot2atc But when In a flight and i change frequency I can see in the chat box a new name but the voice dose not change
December 28, 20205 yr Commercial Member The new name is displayed when the voice is selected, before the load attempt. If the voice shows and a different one plays, then you know the one that showed is having problems loading. Dave
December 28, 20205 yr Do you know of anything I can try as the voices work when I press the test button
December 28, 20205 yr Commercial Member Do you have other software that uses voices? If so, they might be blocking them from being loaded by P2A. Which voices are failing? Do the same voices always fail? IF so, try reinstalling those voices. Dave
December 28, 20205 yr Will keep a note of the ones that don't work check over a few days And as far as I know there are no other programs that use the voices

January 6, 20215 yr up to now it seems like it's the microsoft voices that were causing me problems found susan, heera, linda where not working i had installed some extra voices from microsoft this could be why i have Ivona voices amy, brian, emma, gerant, salli, jennifer installed and they all work fine i also have james, richard, george, hazel, mark, zira installed from microsoft and they all work fine all i did to work the problems one out i put a tick in the display random voices made a list of all the voices that i was using in p2a then is i was flying when the radio changes look how the voice has changed to if you here the voice you are expecting i would tick it off my list if it went back to the default voice i would cross it off the list and remove it from p2a
June 23, 20214 yr My voices drop down box doesn't show any of the MS voice or my IVONA purchased voices. I do see the MS and IVONA voices on Random Voice Settings though. I also noticed other drop down boxes don't work in Config. i.e. Com Radio Swap Tone / Speech Output Device / Speech Recognized Tone. I'm on version 2.6.2.2_x64_R3b
June 23, 20214 yr Commercial Member Could be a problem with your system. They all work on my system and no one else is reporting this. First, I would try rebooting the PC. If that doesn't cure it, try reinstalling a fresh copy of P2A in case something has been corrupted on your system. Dave

Dave I tried reinstalling multiple times, but that didn't help. I even used Revo Uninstaller to clear up any remnants. What did help though was clearing the Quote c:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\ folder though. I'm back up and running. Hope this helps someone having the same issue.
