I grabbed it last night. I use Ultimate Traffic in FS9, but have been installing the World of AI packages in FSX. I've been very happy with them, the planes look great and I don't care if the flight plans are not 100% real-world. Now if we can start getting some AFCADs for FSX. It troubles me everytime I see a FEDEX plane parked in the wrong place at KALB. :)The World of AI models look great. I watched a Delta flight land last night and was surpised at the detail of the wings, with the flaps down and spoilers deployed. I'm still not getting the sound I'd like though, no tire squeal on touchdown or thrust reversers. I've downloaded an AI sound file from the library but the WofAI planes don't seem to use them or I have something wrong.Jim

I believe the touchdown sound has to be enabled in the aircraft.cfg file. However I'm not sure offhand what the entry is supposed to be.

Correction - it might be the sound.cfg file (or soundai.cfg) that needs to have an entry added to enable touchdown sounds.

Hey Folks, Are there instructions on how to use the World of AI ? I have been using Ultimate Traffic in FS9 so it was just point and click. Not sure how to add and compile or what to do with FSX AI traffic. A point in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Craig

Craig, World-Of-Ai is pretty easy to install as well. Just run the installer.exe which can be downloaded off of the world-of-ai website. Remeber to copy the installer files OUT OF the zip folder its in or it will not work properly. Just make a new folder called worldofai_installer and unzip the installer to there. go in the folder and click on the installer icon. Once you open the program, just select the package (the package will be in zip format...no need to upzip it), select the destination (FS9 or FSX) and then click next. It will prompt you through the install. Thats it!! I have SEVERAL packages from world-of-ai and I love all of them. They are very frame rate friendly. They also have some great military packages as well. let me know if you need anymore help.

Thanks Nigel, Will give it a go. One more question. What happens to the default AI ? I assume there must be a bgl file that enables the default aircraft? Craig

If you install the World of AI packages you won't see any default AI any more. The downside of that, for me, is that I no longer have any GA AI traffic.. I still haven't gotten brave enough to use Markus Brunner's "GA-Traffic" in FSX yet. But I don't see how it can do any harm.Jim

When installing in FSX, the installer should make a sound folder with the aisound.cfg file in it so it use the (for instance) B738 sound files. But some sounds are very faint. Reverse trust can only be heard almost at the end when the plane is already slowed down, and not when the reversers are applied.Peter

Are all of the WOAI packages compatible in FSX? I took a quick look at a few and they said "For FS 2004 Only". ThanksJim

Yes they are. I just installed a number of them in the last hour and they work well. Craig

Thanks for confirming this for me, I'm off to get the rest of their packages.Jim

Jim, Hope I didn't mislead you. I meant to say that I installed all of the domestic carriers with no problem. I didn't even look to see if they said 2004 only. Craig

They're no longer FS2004 only.As long as you use the latest installer, you can install any of their WOAI packages into FSX.GG

I only looked at Domestic thus far myself. If I've been reading correctly, using WOAI will cause the FSX default traffic not to appear so what do you guys use for GA AI?Jim
