Solution Continue screen during engine shutdown?

Featured Replies

The Beautiful engine shutdown sound is always interrupted by the “Continue Screen”
Is there already a solution for this ?

MSI Tomahawk Z790, I7-13700K, DDR5 6000mhz, MSI 4090, 3x SSD 980 PRO, Corsair 360 Liguid CPU cooler, Corsair H1200V2 power.

I would love a solution for this too. It is a poorly implemented procedure. There should at least be an option in the menu to disable this. It is 100 times worse than that “Press an key” yet it does not get slammed by the community in the same way. What is the point of it?

To make it worse, if you then choose the option to Continue rather than exit, the logbook goes into a flat spin and usually ignores the flight outright and starts counting your new “flight” from that moment onwards, while shutting down in the parking bay. This means your entire flight is reduced to perhaps a couple minutes with no take off or landing.

It’s irrational and illogical and damages the realism aspect of shutting down your aircraft. It is not welcome.Time to start a riot! 🙂

How are you shutting down? I've found that the continue/main menu screen doesn't pop up until I turn off the Avionics switch or the Main Battery Switch (depending on plane). As such, I can cut the mixture and switch the starter/magneto switch to off without it bringing up the continue screen. I go further and switch everything else off (lights/etc.) and save Avionics/Master power for last long after the engine has been shutdown.

Normal procedure in many GA aircraft is to turn off avionics before commencing engine shutdown.

So while your procedure might work, it would be forcing an incorrect shutdown procedure to circumvent what is a totally  irrational implementation by Asobo.

Even shutdown with all avionics and APU running still gies me the "Continue Screen"
I really hate this..

If you park in a place other than what you are prescribed, you can turn it off completely.

hehe... I recall bringing this up over a month ago and was essentially told by the forum '... what are you talking about, the sim does not do this'.  I asssumed it was only at my end.  Overall, it is a very poor implementation, disruptive, log book dicsonnect, very 'game-ish too me.

This is not what I have found. I can totally ignore ATC (as in not use it) and park where I feel like it and it still happens, almost every time. Oddly on extremely rare occasions it does not happen.

I think that you must ask ATC for parking and then choose to park somewhere else for it to work.
