December 18, 20205 yr looking for assistance setting up Saitek flight yoke; rudder pedals, throttle quadrant and trim wheel to work with Flight Simulator 2020, any direction would be most appreciated
December 19, 20205 yr Are you asking for advice on getting it to work at all - or is the question more about sensitivity settings ?
December 19, 20205 yr It should be recognised automatically. Sensitivity will be a case of trial and error starting from default settings. Take care not to move the throttle into the reverse thrust area when calibrating. Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)
December 19, 20205 yr Author I guess what I'm asking is assistance to make it all work, the menu recognizes the inputs from the yoke, pedals and throttle quadrant but when I select an aircraft; the Cessna 172 for example, the control surfaces either don't respond or operate erratically. The language used to describe various operations/functionality is a little bit different from FSX so I'm somewhat confused.
December 20, 20205 yr Like you, I have Logitech (Saitek) Yoke, Throttle Quadrant and Rudder Pedals. In the MS Controls section, Pics appear of Yoke and Rudder Pedals, but not of the Quadrant. However, for me, Throttle Control and Rudder Pedals work ok, but not the flaps. I think I read somewhere on the Forum that Logitech have to play a little catch-up for compatibility in MS2020. I'm assuming that your Quadrant plugs into the port on the Yoke, same as mine, and you Pedals into a usb port on your pc. Sorry I can't offer any more. andy a
December 20, 20205 yr Author yes, it sounds as we have the same system, the throttle quadrant was part of a bundle with the yoke, with the aid of some tutorials I'm understanding some of how to customize my set up, but the biggest challenge is the sensitivity settings for the yoke, no matter what adjustments I make the corresponding control surface only responds when the input; i.e., slew right/left, pitch up/down, etc., is almost to the maximum limit of travel
December 20, 20205 yr Some folks on the Forum seem to have very good flights with no problems, while others, like you and I, have difficulties. The scenery in the sim is splendid, but I have reverted back to P3Dv5 as a temporary measure, in order to enjoy some flying using my Logitech controls. I hope you get things sorted out. andy a
