December 19, 20205 yr Hi all, Any thoughts on this aircraft? I’m thinking about giving this one a go. Looks great and am not expecting PMDG performance. Cheers, Mark
December 19, 20205 yr It's pretty good. It's not as super-duper detailed on the systems as the old PMDG one, but it's got a lot more included than you might suppose and on one or two bits of what is included in the Sky Sim version, these are actually more faithful to the real aeroplane than on the PMDG one (yes, really). Personally, I think it strikes a good balance between 'complex' and 'jump in and go' add-on aeroplanes, featuring enough detail to please people who like 'serious sims' (TM), yet not requiring you to spend a week learning about the real thing by reading a huge manual which makes The Lord of the Rings look like a pamphlet. Also of note is that now (following a recent update) it includes MD-10, 10F and 10 30F variants as well as the MD-11, so it's actually quite a few different aeroplanes you get now, which makes it even better value than it was when it came out. I don't think you'd be disappointed so long as you don't expect it to be rivalling the FSL A320 or some such in terms of depth. December 19, 20205 yr Author Thanks Chock. Does this work in V5? The MD11 on the site's landing page says V5, but when you link out to the MD11 2.2 info page , it says V4. I'm thinking that page has not been updated? Anyway, appreciate all the info and I think this is a go if V5 compatible.
December 19, 20205 yr Pretty sure this just uses the sim nav data base too which is very limiting and out of data. Cheers Steve Hall

Yup, it works in 4 and 5, initially when 5 first came out, the polished metal finish on the delivery version paint job was a bit ropey, this one: But that got sorted out. And note that the MD-10 expansion dates from after the release of P3D V5. Edited December 19, 20205 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

Or P3D only ? I wonder if I should try and install it to see what happens? AFAIK there are still two versions on the Sky Sim site..not sure if the FSX one has the same update nor have the MD10s available. The file size appears to be the same as one I previously downloaded, surely an update would have a difference in size? 12 hours ago, cowpatz said: Pretty sure this just uses the sim nav data base too FSX user of the plane here and I concur that it is enjoyable despite a few annoyances and yes the FMC is a version of EasyFMC..
