P3Dv5.2 way too dark at night with HDR and Envshade

Recommended Posts

Not sure what I am doing wrong here, but something just doesn't look right in p3d at night time. Everything looks extremely dark and the cockpit textures are very over saturated. I believe my monitor is calibrated correctly as XPlane looks fine (with Reshade of course) as well as other games/programs. If I turn HDR off, then everything gets very bright like how FSX used to be with its unrealistic night lighting. I attached some screenshots to show my settings as well.

https://prnt.sc/w6z28y (p3d lighting settings)

https://prnt.sc/w6z2q0 (Envshade settings)

https://prnt.sc/w6z38p (Nvidia desktop color settings)

Thank you

Where did you get v5.2, Spencer?! 😜

In case you have Chaseplane, you can adapt lighting effectively. However in- and outside simultaneously.

Have a healthy Christmas time,

Can you shed some light on this, please? I tried to find these options in Chaseplane but didn't find them. No doubt I overlooked the obvious.

Have a nice and save Christmas,
Hans
