January 2, 20215 yr Once in a while you have those moments in a flightsim where everything works as it should. The hardware is not acting up, performance is fine, you find your personal sweetspot of settings and then you hop into VR, like you have done for hundreds of times in P3D. But then, despite all its state as work in progress, MSFS shows its potential and delivers: Magic. And that is what happened to me just now. I jumped into the Bonanza picked Talkeetna, Alaska as my starting point and Lime Village via Purkeypile as my Flightplan, picked live weather and real time fired up the sim and hopped into VR. And the stars aligned. The rising sun had not quite reached the horizon, the sky was clear, and as I climbed out and made my westward turn towards Purkeypile the first rays had already hit the Denali in the distance. And then as I reached 4500 feet, climbing further the sudden shift in the way my cabin was hit by the morning light, told me that the sun had appeared behind me. I turned around and there she was, rising above the mountains in the distance. T The glorious dusk lightning of MSFS flexing it's muscles, the scenery below all covered in snow, the sky a serene pink orange, the mountains rising ever higher befor me as I climbed to my crusing altitude of 10.500 feet. And then I plugged in my headphones and put on Bruckner Symphony No.3, which gave the perfect soundtrack to all the majesty below and around me. And I forgot for an hour that I was sitting at my desk wearing clunky looking VR Goggles.
