January 5, 20215 yr Hello everyone after a horrible mistake purchasing a Honeycomb Bravo throttle, and the failure of it to work properly I have managed to totally screw up my P3D install. Advice in the hardware forum was to delete P3D and start again from scratch. While totally unappealing it looks like I have almost no other options so am asking the best way to uninstall everything so i don't have problems when everything is being put back on. I have a number of sceneries that have been installed via the XML method which i am not really competent to install the others but can someone please explain what is the best method to uninstall and then reinstall everything i have taken years to build? I have lots of Orbx scenery, PMDG aircraft, etc etc. How do I tackle this? Words can't explain how angry i am with Honeycomb and its failure to install and subsequent screwing my system trying to right the situation. It looks unrecoverable from here. The radio silence from honeycomb support just adds salt into the wounds. Hi Barra You could try a repair for your current P3D v4 installation but before that, here's a guide that could help with your issues: Also have a look at the following for the repair install, its towards the bottom part of the guide: https://prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6322&t=125187 Hope this helps
January 7, 20215 yr Moderator @barramundilure, I fail to understand how the installation of drivers for a throttle could mess up your P3D setup. I certainly wouldn't go through the process of uninstalling everything and starting again. That's total overkill. Start simply. 1) Uninstall the Honeycomb throttle driver via Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. Then physically detach the quadrant from your PC. 2) Rename Prepar3d.cfg to Prepar3d.old and boot up P3D. Do you see the Scenario screen? If you do then go with the default aircraft at the default airport and select Start. Does P3D finish loading and place you at the airport? If so then that should be enough proof that your sim is useable. If it doesn't load and a message is displayed take a screenshot and post here. Clearly you'll need to add an alternative throttle quadrant but that can come after you get P3D working. Ray (Cheshire, England).
