December 1, 200619 yr Hi boys,I tried to install pmdg 737NG (version 1.3) in FSX!I must say that it flies very fine, but there are still some little problems. This is my summary.1. While the plane is in takeoff it appears a PMDG message telling that CG is out of tolerance, therefore the plane is unflyable, but this is not true!2. The climb, cruise and descend aren
December 1, 200619 yr can you tell me how you got the panel displays to show up? I7-10700F RTX 3070 32 Gig Ram
December 1, 200619 yr I don't understand well your question but i give you some indications about necessary changes to do after istallation. After istallation on FSX, the plane is located in a folder named aircraft (as in FS9!) in the main directory. In order to view the plane in selection page of fsx you must also insert in fsx.cfg this ietms:simobjectpath.6=aircraftafter others (from 1 to 5).There is also the possibility to trasfer with cut and past the plane in the airplane folder, but I prefer the first one in order to mantain in a different folder my plane under testing. Remember that if you didn't insert file thumbnail.jpg (256x128) in texture folder you will find the plane in the selection page with a big ?, but this isn't a problem in the selection.I would like to remember you that itsn't possible to use VC Cockpit views in FSX as formulated in fs9, therefore you can remove from PMDG 737 panel all items Fixed windows i.e.a. Fixed Window30=FORWARD_RIGHTb. Fixed Window31=FORWARD_LEFTc. Fixed Window32=LEFTd. Fixed Window33=REAR_LEFTe. Fixed Window34=RIGHTf. Fixed Window35=REAR_RIGHTg. Fixed Window36=REARh. //Fixed Window37=Landing Viewand all groups [fixed windowsxx] after groups [windowsxx] of 2d panel.Remember to set in FSX the view 2D cockpit. Usually I prefer use only 2d panels. You must remove in the aircraft.cfg all virtual cockpit versions. At the end remember also to trasfer new airacs, with cut and paste, from fs9.Done these main changes you could view the panel 2d after selection of plane and then fly now. Then you can select the views with mini-icons panel present in all views. That's all for the moment. If you want you can contact me directly to the [email protected] callsign "pat2807"bye-bye!!!
December 1, 200619 yr thank you for this information i will give it a try. I7-10700F RTX 3070 32 Gig Ram
December 2, 200619 yr Excuse me, but are you using some incorrect terminology above? FS9 VC cockpits work just fine in FSX. What doesn't work are the 2D views other than the main panel view, so you can't hold Shift right arrow key and look out the right window using a 2D panel view (IOW, all the fixed windows you removed). The VC cockpit "views" (actually, the various VC cockpit views in the panel.cfg file refer to different surfaces in the VC Cockpit model geometry, they aren't separate "views" per se, they all belong to the same view). should work just fine, however, no need to remove those from the panel.cfg file. Now it may be true that some of the VC view gauges don't work, but that is different from saying the VC views don't work.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry

December 2, 200619 yr >can you tell me how you got the panel displays to show up?Just install the FSUIPc4 in modules folder, even FMC works, inclusive the flightplansRegards Pieter from Antwerp
December 2, 200619 yr Yes!!!You can set FMS and save the plan as in fS9.You can also trasfer the plan just saved in fs9.I repeat: the only problem is disalignment of some degrees in final landing with the true horizontal runway line.I'm working on this issue for understanding the cause.Bye.
December 2, 200619 yr Commercial Member >Yes!!!>You can set FMS and save the plan as in fS9.>You can also trasfer the plan just saved in fs9.>I repeat: the only problem is disalignment of some degrees in>final landing with the true horizontal runway line.>I'm working on this issue for understanding the cause.>Bye.The cause would be the fact that FSX models a round earth and FS9 doesn't... It's one of the many reasons we don't support anyone trying to use the NG or 744 in FSX right now. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
December 5, 200619 yr Thank you for your answer, but I don't understand very well.By the way, I think that PMDG for all simmers who love flying with 737 and 747 had to do some work in order to use those in fsx, infact seeing the problems anyone could think that the necessary work to realize a patch probably could not request too much work.Best regards!
