January 21, 20215 yr This looks interesting, more complete than AddonLinker, did anyone try it? https://flightsim.to/file/6611/mfs-addon-collector
January 23, 20215 yr A little bit "intrusive" for my taste. However, it looked interesting. January 23, 20215 yr Think I'll stick with addon linker. Simple, easy to operate and gets the job done. James
January 24, 20215 yr I gave this thing a try and to put it mildly I am not impressed. It has a few issues -- it seems to be unable to handle my full library and chokes every time it tries to import the whole thing. I ended up finally just having it import a smaller subset so I could test it out. The UI is a mess, it tries to cram too many things into one space. But the biggest issue for me I only discovered after I'd got it "working" -- I was doing some other add-on maintenance and noticed an updated timestamp on a lot of my airport directories, which seemed odd. I had a look, and it seems like this thing took the liberty of generated a thumbnail image and writing it directly into the mod directory for most of my airports without asking permission or giving any notification that it was doing so. It's pretty dang rude, IMO, to touch a user's data in this way. If you want to create metadata you should keep it within your application's space and not modify or add anything else on disk I left a pretty negative review of this on fs.to (my first!) for this reason.
