Could your AV program be getting in the way?

I just did a scan on my Windows defender. It Realityxp GTN 750 installer as 

Trojan:Win32/Wacarac.DE!mlm

Or

Hacktool:Win32/AytoKMS!mlm

Affected items

rxpGtnSim32.dll

I already read in other posts that sometimes RXPs downloads trip false positives.

What baffles my mind is that Windows Defender didn't tag this on initial purchase in September.

Nor did it tag when I had to reinstall Windows 10 and all my stuff at the end of November..

Only since the Trainer update.

That is annoying indeed, but "things change" as they say

I believe a Windows Update is at the root of this... Windows defender quarantined this file on my PC also, without me doing a thing.

I have now a) restored the file and b) added an exclusion for Program Data / Reality XP

I had the same problem with a quarantined file as the OP and fixed it (I think). Now I get the message "Could not find the GTN PC Trainer Installation Path, Try again?" in FSX. Nothing seems to work.

Download the gauge and reinstall it.
