February 7, 20215 yr Ever since I allowed a Garmin GTN Trainer update last month I have been having various troubles. The avionics on my A2A aircraft malfunctioned and the recent global update wasn't working. Got around that one. The GTN panels in other aircraft disappeared. Today, the GTN 750 in my A2A Bonanza and my C421 Golden Eagle quit working, screen would not come on. RXP Panel Assistant quit working for both GTN and GNS series. I attempted reinstall. No good. I attempted restore point to the day the GTN trainer update downloaded. No good. I uninstalled and reinstalled Garmin Trainers. No good. I tried a Lite reinstall of windows 10. Wouldn't do it. Whenever I try to install RXP GTN I get an error messege that the source file is corrupted. File listed as C:Program Data, Realityxp, GTN dll 32. Anyone can point me in the right direction? Thanks.

It is likely a mismatch between the RXP and the Garmin Trainer version, it affected users of both sims, and the likely resolution is the same. I uninstalled the Garmin and RXP Software. I then redownload and reinstalled everything. There is an effect on my GNS units to. 530s turn on and seem to work but the 430 won't turn on. Same as with the GTN. The one flag I noticed even during reinstallation was Realityxp GTN 32dll corrupted Thus flag happens when I reinstalled GTN. Sadly, I don't have a lot of time to work on it. Work schedule, family, and all. My 2 hours total in a week will be burnt on fixing, not flying.

When I check show all products in the Flight Agent Library the RXP products are there. They use the Flight1 E commerce app.

February 8, 20215 yr Author I don't have McAffee unless Windows 10 built in AV uses it or it's data. It hadn't happened before even from the first I bought RXP Windows viewed it as potential threat. Not so with others like A2A, Flight1 and Carenado.

RXP uses the wrapper and generates new keys through F1 also.

The most up to date likely appears first on the RXP website and it may take some time before the same file(s) get posted at F1. For this current issue recent history indicates that totally uninstalling both the RXP product and the Garmin Trainer, followed by reinstallation based on a fresh download from the Reality XP website product page has been effective for most I have seen post here. There has been an occasional report of a virus quarantine. Most of that but perhaps not all I have seen seen reported occurs during the download and/or installation and is clear from a warning box that appears. Others, should they occur, should be evident when checking in the AV software for a list of quarantined files. Many of these issues are created at the time of hardware or operating system updates or reinstallation of a simulator. Others are caused by having a mismatch created between the RXP software and the Garmin Trainer. Many of the early reports back in January appeared created when the Garmin Trainer was updated before RXP had an opportunity to recognize and thus support the trainer update. I for one have not witnessed my Garmin Trainers update or attempt to update on their own. Enough said. February 8, 20215 yr Author I allowed the update. Got the notification several times and when it happened I accidentally clicked okay. Didn't really want it. Don't know why it's necessary if a current program works fine anyway. I'm going to designate Garmin and RXP files trusted. And then I'm going to uninstall what's here and then try for a direct RXP download.
