February 16, 20215 yr I have recently purchased MSFS 2020 Premium Deluxe following many years flying the PMDG 737-8 on FSX. which was wonderful, and now concentrating on tackling the B787 in MSFS 2020 I feel I am quite experianced in Sim Flying and Flight planning and entering FMC waypoint routes etc. So there apears very little differance between flying and controlling the B787 and the PMG 737.in overall aviation terms. But I am amazed at the bugs that crop up in my the MSFS 2020 flight Sim. I have watched a numer of videos describing LNav and Auto Throttle failures describing the inability to maintain Track headings IAW the FMC and the Aurothrottle seems to have a mind of its own cutting out at critical times and of course VNav that does not work correctly. Even if I fly using Alt hold and speed using the A/T I cannot complete a flight due to the A/T just stops working the button becomes inoperative and the aircraft wanders off track after a 300 mile flight with no problems and suddenly whilst on A/P goes into a 360 bank to port and just circles the same point on the track. I recover to track by cancelling the Captains and selecting the First officers A/P I am extermrly very disappointed with the quality and lack of testing of this B787 automatic flight control system and i wonder why I paid $179 for such a failure. Surprised this does not appear to be a major concern in the F/Sim arena.
February 16, 20215 yr Its lame and unusable. Perhaps for those who just fool around with it, its fine. Its a conflict of interest, in improving it because they want 3PDs to bring high level aircraft. On the other side they could unlock the code so freeware devs could at least improve these bugs and all around systems just like FBW and WT have done with the other default models. We just have to wait for the Qualitywings 787 for MSFS CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,

It is a concern, but since this arose way back in August when MSFS was initially released, it has had plenty of time to be discussed and it would be rather pointless to be still at the forefront of discussion topics, on a daily basis, six months down the line.
