I can see and "buy" the world update but it won't download. When I go into content manager I see a lost of items say "Newer Game Version Required to Update"

It says "OWNED", download is disabled. 

How can I force this upgrade to download?

did you update the sim through Windows store/steam (whatever version you have) first?

one update is for the executable and essential for actually running the game, the other is for the sim files.

I tend to agree.... the GUI and and downloads both for the sim and marketplace are a mess.  

It's actually 3 places.

-One updated in either Steam or the MS Store app to update the launcher

-The launcher then updates the sim

-Then you have to go to the Marketplace and 'Buy and Download' the free world update content.

Totally ridiculous. 

My Windows 10 downloads and updates the application automatically through the MSFT Store - today I got home from work and it was ready to rock and roll. All I do is fire up the sim and update the rest as normal.
