No, you must be mistaken or thinking of another sim. We have never had contrails in MSFS.  That is why they are on the to-do list with other particle effects.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

OK.  If the contrails were there and maybe activated due to a bug, maybe you should file a zendesk report and let them know.

Because, if the contrail effects are already in the sim and can be activated by a bug, then it could save Asobo a lot of work, as they are under the impression they haven't created them yet.

If I'm not mistaken, Martial Bossard, one of the guys who was part of the last Dev Q&A stream, said that the particle effects system has been pushed back to Sim Update 4. Maybe someone could confirm since I'm outside currently but I'd be happy to be proven wrong though.

Well the SDK roadmap that came out Thursday still says Sim Update 3. At least for the SDK feature. Maybe all the planes getting them added is SU4.
