March 3, 20215 yr Author Seems like there's a multitude of these electric air taxi's in development. Nice thing about electric motors is that it enables some quite creative design choices. I know the concept has its detractors, but it's happening people. Lots of big companies involved and now an eVTOL airport being built in Coventry in the UK, of all places. World's first 'flying taxi' and drone airport to open in Coventry later this year https://news.sky.com/story/worlds-first-flying-taxi-and-drone-airport-to-open-in-coventry-later-this-year-12201201 Edited March 3, 20215 yr by martin-w
March 4, 20215 yr It is, once again, an exciting time in aviation development. We have the very real prospect, not just a fanciful idea, of flying cars/taxis and we are again advancing towards manned exploration of space. My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

We went to the Moon to beat the Russians of course and as soon as that as done zero interest. Well now, thanks to private companies in action, we can expect incredible things in the near future. And with the rapid development in battery tech, electric aircraft will be increasing their range. Solid state batteries are with us now, just not competitive with lithium ion on price, expected to be competitive by 2025 though. Edited March 4, 20215 yr by martin-w
