December 20, 200619 yr Author Hi,Thanks for the replyDid you click onto the hypertext link after getting onto the main site page? ... I see the 4.06 on the main screen but the hypertext link should take you to "the forum" where you can download the 4.065 FX update .. that is what I cannot do. December 20, 200619 yr Author OK,Thanks a'lotI will keep trying. Maybe it is my IE7.0 acting up. But, I can get onto all other sites .... Maybe FSUIPS had a temporary problem.Glad you got the update! Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
December 20, 200619 yr Author Hi,I finally got into the forum link. Thanks for your help. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
December 20, 200619 yr Well I went to Peter's website and everything is working fine. Went to pick up a copy of the freebie Autosave, but guess what, for FSX it is payware now. It is part of FSUIPC4. Too bad. To pay for FSUIPC just to get that feature. Does anybody knows of a utility that works similar for FSX?Thanks
December 20, 200619 yr >Hi,>I finally got into the forum link. Thanks for your help. humm....I tried last night and agin just now....getting a "404 Not Found" error when I click on the link: http://forums.simflight.com/viewforum.php?f=54 I'm going to this page for the link: http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html Sure would like to get to the forum as I'm having problems with FSUIPC losing COMMS about an hour into my flights and as a result I lose all stick & rudder controls. If my destination gives me an ILS approach I can usually land on autopilot OK, using the keyboard to control engine thrust but it sure is annoying to spend that much time and then have this "event" happen. Sure wouldliketo find the cause for this. Normally everything is OK up to that 1 hour+ stage... Paul
December 20, 200619 yr Author I could not get in for 2 days.Sorry to hear it is down again. What are you flying?FSUIPC registered? So far all my GoFlight hardware is working on default Baron58 and DreamFleet Baron58. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

Last night I was flying the Maltby BAC 1-11-500. The prior flight was in the Salasa HS.748. On both flights I lost the controls just about the time I was about to descend. On the HS.748 flight I was using FSMetar for real-world weather but on the BAC 1-11 flight I was using the default, fs2k.zone.com. This problem has occured flying the default 737-800 AIR, and also the L-049A Connie. One flight in a Mig-15 ended in an auger as I had no AP in that one :( When I lose control, if I check the drop-down menu, there are multiple listings for FSUIPC but only the bottom one is active. Nothing I do once I open FSUIPC restores the flight controls. Paul
December 20, 200619 yr Author You might want to get version 4.065and try it again. No other programs running in the background?I use MS on-line WX for FSX ... no problems other than connection issues with the MS Wx site. Some of his rescent updates deal with calibration issues. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

I just D/L'd 4.065.Seems that site doesn't like Firefox. I can access thehome page but not the forums. I had to use myNetscape 3.01 to get into the forums!I suspect the problem is related to SimConnect. As Dougpoints out in some of his documentation, there are some"issues" with it. Since the problem I'm seeing only occurs after and houror more of flying, it's a bit difficult to get a handleon it by changing configurations. Next time it occursI'll pop out of the sim and save the FSUIPC.log file.Perhaps that will hold some usefull clues. Paul
December 21, 200619 yr Author Ya, I could get the home page and I also could not access the forum.I can now though .... strange problem. I do not know FireFox.Your troubleshooting log should give a clue but bet it will be some kind of really big file size! If, the log has to run that long before a failure. My first thought is/was the weather update was causing a problem. The GoFlight hardware is stable. Not to say an intermittent problem cannot come up. All the FX addon software will take some time to shake down all the bugs. SimConnect could have an issue also, no doubt. When I first installed FX and got GoFlight working I had several complete FREEZES of the modules .... all except the throttles.I wrote and told GoFlight. They had on software update since their original FX release. Did you get it?Never got any more but .... you never know. Maybe it is fixed now. After running their Config for FX and you exit it all the module LEDs stay on so they are not getting a master reset like they do in FS9.Where there is one problem there could be a few more .... if you know what I mean?Good Luck, Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
