RAF/RNAS Hawk crashes in Cornwall

Featured Replies

As per the title, a BAe Hawk trainer suffered an engine failure and the crew banged out - suffering minor injuries - with no-one on the ground being hurt.

If you want a good laugh though, check out this report and listen for the mistake by the presenter about 'simulated' missile attacks. Personally, I'd have gone for the good old: 'fifteen acres of property in Cornwall has been destroyed, causing almost three pound fifty's worth of damage'. 🤣

And the crew members were “rejected “ , or was that just my hearing?

I think that was just 'were' and 'ejected' sounding joined up, although personally I'd have said 'the crew ejected' rather than 'the crew were ejected', as the latter sounds a bit involuntary and the former sounds like a choice.

Ah, I thought it might have been.

A mate of mine went off to stimulate the navy’s missiles by towing them behind a falcon jet, madness
