April 6, 20215 yr Just recently purchased and installed MSFS 2020. The load said XBOX/Windows 10. The file structure where it was loaded is entirely different form the FlightSim directories I was used to on FSX. Everything is working fine, added scenery and planes from the Marketplace. I would like to change the AI liveries from the megapack. I realized the instructions seem to be tailored toward a traditional directory load. Are there 2 versions that can be downloaded XBOX and Windows (AND I MADE A MISTAKE) OR are all the new purchases coming in the XBOX/Windows format. I believe there are more people when reading forum asking where the MSFS 2020 directory is located. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
April 6, 20215 yr Administrators I have moved your topic into the proper forum since your question had nothing to do with the AVSIM File Library. April 6, 20215 yr Hi Cprice317 and welcome to Avsim. Now, what version have you purchased and installed? From what you say so far I must assume MS Store. Edited April 6, 20215 yr by Will Fly For Cheese
April 6, 20215 yr Based on what you have reported, I would say that your installation is normal. It is not the least bit like FSX, and many MS Games/XBox features will surprise and annoy you, if you are like the rest of us.. Get the MSFS Addons Linker program.. it makes addons a lot easier to manage! https://flightsim.to/file/1572/msfs-addons-linker Youtube video: Edited April 6, 20215 yr by Bert Pieke Bert
April 7, 20215 yr Author Bert thanks so much. I really though I had loaded the wrong version since when watching how to change AI aircraft liveries looked nothing like my file structure. I have found the Community folder and that adds planes successfully by not the AI. I will download the manager.
