Thanks for your suggestion, but unfortionately that's not it. I also connected the pedals directly to a port on the PC. I have tried three different hubs (2.0 and 3.0), a few different cables and two different pedals.

There are a few more people complaining about rudder issues and CTD. Using different pedals sometimes help but I don't have a third pair. I could try a joystick temporarily though.

Thanks. I Followed your guide and hope it solves this permanently, at least until Microsoft or Asobo think of something else to break. They seem to have a knack for that sort of thing or they are just making their own version of "How to irritate people".

FYI I have MFG Crosswind V2 and I never had a CTD in MSFS.

Good to hear. Pedals are only part of the puzzle because a different set of pedals also causes a crash. No pedals = no crash though, and it is not my USB hub either since I tried 3 different hubs, different USB cables, different USB ports, both powered by CPU and Chipset.

Fiddling with BIOS settings is useless since it happens on 4 different PC's with totally different hardware. Someone up there must not like me.

After more testing I think that the problem could be caused by those infamous "null" profiles. These were an issue a couple of months ago but I wonder if they still are?

I have 2 controller profiles that are empty, and since they are default profiles I cant' edit them:

• MFG Crosswind V2
• TrackIR

For the Crosswind, I have created another profile off course, but the default can't be deleted nor edited.

Does anybody know if these files can be edited manually and what should be put in them? I can probably copy the content of one of the other files to them but I don't know whether that will cause more problems.

In my "c:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs\000901FB94F5029A_00000000000000000000000069F80140\" folder there are many subfolders, some empty, some with 2 files (container.xx and a file with XML content) and some with a file containing unintelligible text

I also noticed my containers.index is not an xml file but something like this:

I wonder whether the containers.index should be xml, and what can be done about those empty folders or unintelligible files (if there is even action needed, it might be perfectly normal).
