May 16, 20215 yr Good evening, I was just wondering if there was a way to extend the draw distance for buildings, trees etc. over and above the in-game max settings? I also notice the terrain morphing a lot ( even up close) as I approach it. I'm just finding screenshots looks off with everything fading out somewhat close. Thanks.

There was actually a mod for this then Asobo overrode it GRRRR. So it's not at the moment. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
May 16, 20215 yr You can edit .cfg file beyond the UserInterface permitted values in terms of LOD. Within this and other dedicated forums you can find how to and what kind of performance impacts you will experience. Kind regards. Faruk IŞIK
May 16, 20215 yr Bijan's low-cost Seasons Addon extends the LOD remarkably, but only for trees and not in all regions to the same extent. The advantage ist no fiddling with config files and as a bonus you get really nice season-dependent (blooming, brownish...) trees. It's said to incur a minor fps hit, but nothing I really feel. May 16, 20215 yr I've found Bijan's update, though superb work, does nothing to fix LOD, which is terrible. Then again I've only flown it in East Africa.. Where is the next world update? Canada or Scandinavia? So we are going to see lots of arty, instagram screenshots from Asobo, but without the actual flying experience shown, which will be flying along a flat moving circle of trees?
