WT G1000 NXi Coming This Summer!

While i am a big fan of their work and higly appreciate it, IMHO they should finish one of their current projects (CJ/G3000) first before starting off a new one. Don't do it like ASOBO and get lost in many single projects.

Are there things missing on the CJ4 and G3000 you'd still like to see? They feel like they've both reached a fairly good state of completeness, to me. Also, the G3000 has been built and maintained by just one WT mod member who is not part of Working Title Simulations, the company.

Doing the NXi allows us both to upgrade all the planes that have it in one pass and also prove out a number of new technologies, which are required to bring the two avionics stacks you mention any further. Things like being able to fly every type of leg, AP hardware compatibility, having enough available performance to split the screens, all that needs new stuff. And, on the CJ4, we have more or less reached the viable end of what is possible to do on top of the Asobo code without a rewrite.

Doing the NXi is the best move for the sim, as a whole, and everything else will be benefitting.

For me it's the rest of the leg types.  Hold in lieu of PT, arcs, procedure turns on traditional approaches etc.  On the G3000, I'd love it if we could trust it like the CJ's FMS....the giant arc it draws when you select an IAF during an RNAV(GPS) approach is nasty...and then the same lack of leg types it can fly.

One post in and the negativity starts. I'm sure WT can work on more than one project.

Yeah, sue me, I'm an "highly admiring juvenile person" of WT (don't want to trigger the word not allowed gods), but since the release of the sim, WT has delivered. Looking forward to the many improvements that will be integrated into the main sim. Not expecting all of this to happen, like, THIS VERY MINUTE OR ELSE.

Hoping that Robert Young releases his DA62 mod at some point as well.

I don't see any negativity in my post. I was just stating an opinion.

If WT are confident the way they work all is fine. Nothing more, nothing less.

As mentioned, those will come with the NXi, and then eventually flow to all the avionics systems.
