It has just gone 4am here and I am now loading MSFS so I will  try that and get back to you. A little baffled as to why this would be the cause though.

I am not disputing that and lets be honest, not using the WT G1000 is not actually a cause for concern, nor is it a case of not flying MSFS or leaving flight sim forever. My dummy is staying firmly off the ground LOL

Simply, I really like Working Title products and very much admire their contribution to MSFS and Flight Sim generally..  I also believe that their G1000 is better than default

I just got into MSFS, set up a test flight and then went into graphics, turned Ai traffic to OFF and had my very first CTD.  trying again now.

Well that is not the problem. At least though, I did not have a CTD this time.

Guys, I am however, working on something else.  

I just had a flight with the above in place and nothing changed (except there was no AI Traffic) So I turned that back on and then loaded the Vertigo VL3 for a quick test, and noticed that it too had no speed or altitude indications (WITH no G1000 installed) I have just ended that test and deleted the Vertigo VL3 and am rebooting MSFS as we speak.

I take it all back mate.  It appears that, that, has actually fixed my problem.  All good now and am about to try the Vertigo vl3 again (reinstall)

Next question is "How the h3ll did anyone work this out???) It is the most illogical, insane and apparently unconnected thing I have ever heard of.  LOL

MS and Asobo must have put in many hours trying to introduce a problem like this into an update.  It worked though, in that it created nearly a work of frustration and endless testing for me.  

What is on the horizon in lieu of "live traffic" which is now "NOT" lol Having it on only gave me a single "generic" 747 at YBCS ... always positioned at the same place and I still had no aircraft movements anywhere in the skies.  Live traffic HAH

Now I can get on with trying to sort out the DA62 MFD/PFD swap that was injected into my latest update. 

A huge thank you for your contribution and I would be interested to know how you (or someone else) worked it all out.

That "thank you" is extended to all of you who tried to help me out.

Has anyone considered, and this is off topic, that the sales of the Captain Sim and the Bredok aircraft exist because most people would buy them, knowing that they are truly not great, but this incredible MSFS community will step in to fix them up and mod them.

Despite MS and Asobos' best efforts to break everything with their updates etc, the community eventually fixes it. Well done all
