Get the freeware one by ali501 at flightsim.to.  The quality is good and it's free.  It also integrates well with Sam Scene 3D Hong Kong (I have Sam Scene 3D Hong Kong).

You may have to download it again because one of the last MSFS patches broke Kai Tak.  When you download it, there is an option to select "Main File" from flightsim.to  Download the "Main File" version because that is the version with the fix.  Make sure you have deleted the previous version of Kai Tak from your Community folder before you install the "Main File" version.  It works for me and I haven't CTD yet.  If you are CTDing, it's probably one of your other add ons that is contributing to the CTD.

Yes, there is a workaround, that bans car traffic from the airfield.

The scenery is also compatible with Samscenes HK city.

Hi, does your payware Kai Tak scenery work with the Sam Scene 3D Hong Kong scenery?  I like the current freeware Kai Tak by ali501 because it doesn't touch any of the buildings outside the airport.  So Sam Scene 3D's buildings take priority everywhere outside the airport.  In addition, Sam Scene 3D's scenery blends in quite well with the freeware Kai Tak airport.

What happens when your payware Kai Tak scenery is used in conjunction with the Sam Scene 3D Hong Kong scenery?  Do you override the buildings outside the airport?  Are there any other problems/issues when you combine your Kai Tak scenery with the Sam Scene 3D Hong Kong scenery?

Yes, my Kai Tak is compatible with Samscene 3D Hong Kong city scenery. I do not override buildings outside the airport. Sam Scenes exclude package is needed, but then there are no problems/issues. I will provide an update for Kai Tak 1998 shortly, which even disentangles the static ships from Sam Scenes scenery from mine.

My Kai Tak also has placed the ships out of the way from Henrik Nielsen Global AI Ship Traffic.

I not seeing any modelib.lib folder and I see 1 MyMaterial folder

He has named port_ali501-kaitak-modelLib.bgl.

 

EDITED: to add: Yes that did it! WOO HOO. That MyMaterial folder to MyMaterial_1 helped. Thank you.

Glad to help you, but that is only the half work.

The Problem is, that you got more then one Mod with this mymaterial Folder. Once alone makes no trouble, but if you got more then once. So you have to find the other. 😉

Hmmm.. How!

I had another airport with a similar issue. WSSS Singapore. Payware. Changing the Modellib.bgl folder made the airport buildings disappear. So I put that back and changed only the MyMaterial_2 folder.

I use for this the addon-linker, which got under tools (I think) a modellib-changer and a mymaterial-changer so you can rename all of your files at once.

I also got all my payware inside the linker.

The jetways are there and work for me.  Seriously though, it would take you about 5 minutes to download and install the freeware version instead of asking all these questions about the freeware and trying to figure out what it can do and what it cannot do. Someone even gave you the link earlier: https://flightsim.to/file/4713/hong-kong-kai-tak

Maybe you should spend the 5 minutes to download, install it, and try it, and if you don't like it, then purchase one of the payware versions.
