June 9, 20214 yr Hi everyone. Sorry for being late to the party but finally migrating from 4.5HF2 to 5.2 I created a new partition and installed 5.2 but my question is: Can I save/migrate/re-use anything from 4.5 in 5.2? For example: AIG-OCI ActiveCamera Presets ActiveSky on a remote machine etc etc or will I proceed from square 1? Thank you in advance! Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
June 9, 20214 yr If you are using the latest version of Activesky (AS P3D) run the latest Activesky Beta installer and it will install in both the V4 and V5 addon folders. If youre using the previous version for V4, you'll have to upgrade. AIG-OCI you should be able to go to the setup, let it detect V5 and save the V5 location and it should add the OCI folder location to your V5 addon cfg. For the others I'm not sure.
June 10, 20214 yr I'm actually in a similar boat and thinking of finally going from 4.5 to 5.2. Do I need to uninstall all my addons as well as 4.5 or will completely uninstalling 4.5 take all my addons with it? I'm assuming adding them back into 5.2 is a from-scratch process?
June 10, 20214 yr Many addons had to be modified to work with v5 (specifically airports etc..) Shom MSFS2024 running on Win 11, 4K screen, Z790 AORUS ELITE AX-W, i9-14900K, MSI 3080Ti, Corsair 2x32GB 6000 MHz, 1+2TB M.2 NVMEs

I have the storage so I am going to install V5 before I uninstall V4.5 to ensure I don't blow away anything I need but from what I am gathering most of this is a from-scratch process as you indicated. Also, found this out the hard way but make sure you have adequate space on your C: drive REGARDLESS of where you are actually installing. I was installing on a brand new 500gig partition but P3D kept failing for lack of disk space. Turns out you have to have space on C: regardless of where you are installing. Work around is to install Client, then Content then Scenery separately. Edited June 10, 20214 yr by psolk Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
