June 21, 20214 yr Hello, I seem to be having trouble keeping this puppy from skidding on touchdown in one direction or the other. I have no issue landing PMDG, FSLabs and other models. Some trouble with the Q400, but it still never drifts like this on landing, to the point where it tilts over to one side. What exactly should I not do, that I perhaps take for granted with PMDG models? Should I not be using the pedals after touchdown? Should I not touch the brakes at all? I am on the 64-bit P3Dv5 version.

June 21, 20214 yr Author @micstatic Thank you for the suggestion! I did indeed not find the auto brake for this landing, as I couldn't find it in the manuals I looked through. I will track it down and use it for the next flight. Aside from the auto brakes, is there something different I need to deal with, like with having to press comma on the FSLabs to switch from rudder to gear control? Do you use the pedals, after touchdown, to make sure you stay center? I have had issues with other models, where I land off center, but never the tilting of the plane to where the wings touch the ground. It almost feels like I am drifting a car. Lovely model otherwise!
June 21, 20214 yr First, make sure autorudder is not enabled in the P3D settings. Sounds like overcontrol...I use FSUIPC and have the rudder axis set on a curve so that inputs are reduced through the early part of the axis travel and then progressively amplified towards the ends of travel. Helps a lot with fine control given how short the throw is on most rudder controls. June 21, 20214 yr In FSUIPC I have the axis set to "Direct to Calibration" and on the calibration page, the rudder axis is set to a slope of 3.
