June 22, 20214 yr Author If I want to either update or roll back my GTN Trainer version will it automatically over write what I have or must I first uninstall my current version? Will the RXP gauge find it on it's own? If somebody knows step by step please post. Software dummy here. Thanks Edited June 22, 20214 yr by Gary1124
June 22, 20214 yr If you are installing a newer version, just install it over top of the existing trainer. If you are going back to an earlier version: 1. In Windows Settings/Programs, uninstall the Garmin GTN Trainer 2. install the GTN Trainer that you want to be active, in the default location Do not touch the RXP gauge... it should find the trainer. I don't know which "earlier" version you might want to be installing, but the RXP GTN is only compatible with the GTN trainers listed in the manual. By default, it will use the highest version installed but you can specifically tell it to use a different version if you happen to be installing different versions side by side. For example, GTN 6.21 and 6.62.4 (two supported versions) install side-by-side as-is. Otherwise if you manage to manually copy the trainer files to a folder of your choosing, you can still redirect the RXP GTN to using files from specific folders. This is further documented p21 of the RXP GTN user's manual. Edited June 22, 20214 yr by RXP sorry, thought I was answering a GNS topic!
June 23, 20214 yr Author Thank you Sir. Well, recall I was having conflicts with atioglxx.dll and possibly kernal32.dll kicking it off. CTD P3D 4.5. So I'm going to experiment with different things but manually replacing dll files likely not. Nothing maybe needing a manual registration edit. I'm leaning toward eventually just redoing Windows 10 and starting clean. Thanks
