July 1, 20214 yr Have Honeycomb Alpha which has worked well for past 12 months. Now have intermittent problem with POV hat. Sometimes, the POV hat is non responsive. If I move the yoke, especially in pitch mode, the POV will work again. Also, sometimes POV will not stop. i.e. if I select left view, the view keeps scanning left even if I release the POV hat. Once again operating the yoke will restore to normal. Windows 10 version 21 H1 P3d v 5.2 ( also happened on 5.1) Honeycomb software 1.0.5.0. Used with PMDG 737NXGu and A2a Piper Comanche + Beechcraft Bonanza Any ideas please. RoyH
July 6, 20214 yr check the "RJ45" cable that connects the Yoke Handle to the Base... Maybe it is not making good contact or worse the cable now needs to be replaced. Les O'Reilly

July 10, 20214 yr Hi My RJ45 cable is constantly pulling out far enough to lose connection with the buttons and must push it back in. Honeycomb tells me to try and stretch the cable but still pulls out. Are these cables available somewhere in an Electronic store perhaps? maybe replacing is the answer. July 10, 20214 yr Hi Helmut, I don't think it's a good idea to go for the same type of cable, since I believe that the loosening of the connection is due to the stiffness of the cable supplied and the stresses that it applies to the sockets as the yoke handle is moved. I've gone for a longer and more flexible cable, and I think that a flat cable could possibly be best.

Thanks for your help and advice, will look for a replacement cable asap since my problem is quite severe, the Alpha is a few years old now. July 25, 20214 yr Author What a great solution. I like the idea of the longer cable to remove any stress and strain on the connectors. RoyH
