ORBX Dubai landmarks

Featured Replies

Anyone else get hard framerates sitting at OMDB with the ORBX Dubai landmarks installed ?

As far as my cameraview goes to the direction where dubai landmarks are behind OMDB i get horrible stutters, if i go in the opposite direction it gets back to normal .

Also if i fly out OMDB and get the landmarks in view it begins to stutter..

cheers 😉

My framerate is the same as the default scenery but the VRAM occupation is much higher (15-16 GB).

I have 24 GB of RAM though, and I think that's the problem for your RTX 2080 which has only 8 GB.

I have RTX2080 and ORBX Dubai landmarks, so far I have noticed no stutters or whatsoever. The stutters only happen if you fly over OMDB directly due to Asobo's crappy implementation of the premium airports package (e.g: EDDF, LFPG ..etc all have the same issue)

I have put out ( for try ) the ORBX dubai landmarks from the community folder and did a flight ( at the moment ) from OMDB and all was good so far so definitely has something to do with this scenery

but the RAM thing could be a reasen probably..

Maybe we get the performance update this month on 27th it handles without stuttering ?

Could that be possible ?

I do not want ( at this moment ) upgarde to a RTX3090, maybe in 1 or 2 years i think to build a new PC seems for me the better solution.

cheers 😉

Check how much video memory is used with the developer's tool.

On my system at 1440p / Ultra I have about 15 GB in Marina and Downtown.

Mine lags some in Orbx Dubai but it's flyable.  Now try Chicago O'Hare that's a real frame rate killer esp if you have DD Chicago installed.

I am on 4K allways.

I will look into that.

@Todd2

I don't have Chikago on my System.
