I ran the Active Sky update for HF1 but I keep getting a message saying the connector isn’t compatible with the version of P3D. Anybody else run into this problem? 

You are using version 7851, correct?

I just installed Beta 7851 for P3Dv5.1 HF1 and found the same issues. You can cancel out of the Installer to get out of the infinite loop.

 

What's more problematic is I discovered there is no rain effect injection into the sim any more although there are thunder and lighting effects being injected. The ASP3D main radar window shows no returns when Detail mode is not active and the ND in the QW787 is bone dry so the radar gauge in the 787 shows no weather returns.

I reverted back to 7638 until HiFI can fix the issues with the latest beta.

 

The positive news: Wind data is being injected into the sim. Weather snapshot file is present and wind data can be injected in to the LEGS page of the FMS when requesting wind data, so some components are working .

Some users on the HiFi Simulation forums tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling Active Sky, and that seems to have worked.  So . . . I just tried it.  No errors so far. 

I was able to get it working after installing latest download from the HIFi site.However I ended up going back to P3D 5.2 without HF1 as I had issues with the Flight1 GTN addon.

 

Complete re-install has done the trick  Thanks
