July 10, 20214 yr How do I update?? sorry if it’s a stupid question but I am new to msfs. Is it automatic? Every time I run msfs it shows me Nordic update. is that right? thanks mike
July 10, 20214 yr the world updates are initiated manually from free content in the storefront of msfs the sim and hotfix updates are initiated without choice by the app on initiation

It will show you if they are installed or not! Like they said sim updates won't let you pass the Checking For Updates screen, as on July 27th, as an example. After checking it will come up with a screen to Continue and start downloading the update. You don't have a choice with sim updates, you have to install them. Here is where the World Updates and other info. World updates are optional. But almost all of us install them 🙂 Duh! If you look at the image I posted about World Updates, they will say Installed once you download them. They are large so take awhile depending on your internet connection. Here is the Profile>Content Manager: See how I have an Update available for the USA Points of Interest I need to download. And the EDLP is a FREE airport they did not long after launch and I don't have it installed right now. To install them or any updates to these files, just click on it and you will see the Download Button. You can also just choose items from the left menu and choose them that way. Like ALL updates, etc.. Up to you! I would NOT touch the DELETE Button. Mine buttons are RED cause I changed the color in the settings. Yours is probably BLUE? Good luck!
