  1. We hope you like it. Flying low and slow all the way across the USA! I'm proud of the historic Ford Hanger at Lansing Municipal, parking 9. It's still there irl, and I got a copy of the blueprints, and wanted to recreate it as acurate as possible. Tell me what you think.
  2. If you're interested our Airfield manual is available for download on our Discord. 88 Intermediate Landing Fields, with 20 custom historical hangers. Creating a digital twin of the past 😉Document download
  3. Yep, we will be on it. I like MSFS2024 too much myself 😉

  5. Yep,that's correct, we started with a FS9 version, which could be ported to FSX. Then we developed an all new FSX version There is a review here on Avsim http://www.avsim.com/pages/0511/Flight1/DC2.html Cheers, guys.
  6. Hi Manny, I see you got tyhe FSX version of our DC2. That's good. Therefor I'd like to correct this: Although I must thank you, Al, for your positive words, I must correct you on the port over bit. We have a full native FSX version, even with animated 3D gauges. Thanks for supporting the Aviodrome, and keeping their Douglas DC2 airworthy. Best, Rob Cappers "UIVER" Team.
  7. Hm, pitty you're going for a refund. Too bad the sounds turn you off of this crate. Indeed, no FSX soundcones etc, but anyway. Haven't hear any complaints like yours since we published this. The model indeed was started in 2007 for FS9, was redone in 2010 for FSX and had a major revamp released beginning 2011 for FSX, including 3D animated gauges etc.Not to mention the system compexity, which is far beyond standard FSX capabilities. As stated ,all profits are going to keeping the real plane in airworthy condition.Anyway, you could still reconsider. :smile:Cheers, Rob
  8. This will be my first PMDG product. I absolutely love it!Slightly off topic (or is it?)Check www.dc2-fs.com for more Douglas radials, almost as good as yours B)Cheers, Rob"UIVER" Team
  9. Yes I have.Thanks!
  10. Hi all, thanks Mike, for you wonderfull review.I hope it is of use for future customers, and to bring more attention to the Douglas DC2 for Flightsimulator.Best, Rob Cappers"UIVER" Team
  11. This I cooked up in in another forum ... [shamless plug mode ON ]The guy there asked for an advice which plane to buy Hi, I'm biased ofcourse. The Uiver is not 'accusimmed' in that sence, but we do have full system simulations. The engines can be abused, and in that case will fail or catch fire. You can do a full, by the book, cold and dark start-up, with working external power, fuelpumps, priming, flooding carburetors, etc. Forget one step, and you must try again. (or use ctrl-e, if you're lazy)Props can be fully feathered, and you can see the propgoverners move. Airstart of the enigines is possible too.Fuel system is completely modelled.Switching tanks is tricky, don't forget to flick on your fuel pumps, or the engines will stall due to lack of fuel pressure. Leave them on too long, they will fail.We have a working manual hydraulics system, with manual pump, in case your hydralic pumps fail. You can do wheels up landing. The props will bend, but the plane will not crash. (as with the real plane, that's why the wheels stick out a bit)At night, you can see if you're flying rich or lean, by the color of the exhaust flames. It all comes with 3 external models, plenty free repaints, 3 VC's (1 with modern avionics, 2 completely steam gauges, all fluidly animated and modelled in 3D) and a fully modelled interior, including loo ;),and virtually anything that can be clicked , switched or moved in the real plane is animated and functional in our model. You can download the manual from our site for free, www.dc2-fs.com, and see what we have to offer. You will not be dissapointedThe price is right, and the money goes directly to a good cause, the preservation in airworthy condition of the real plane.Cheers, Rob Cappers"UIVER" Team[/shamless plug mode OFF ) ]All true nonetheless :(
  12. Hi,I hope it's OK to post an announcement for an Update for our Douglas DC2 package for FSX.As some of you might know, all profit from the purchase of this add-on go directly to the Aviodrome Museum in the Netherlands, to keep the real Douglas DC2 they own in flying condition. This is one of two DC2's left in flying condition, the only one flying regularly.Best regards,Rob CappersDear customers. On 31-12-2010, the "UIVER" Team published an update for the Douglas DC2 for FSX.This update is free for existing customers of the Native FSX version. Just download the package again HERE, and re-install using your old key.!!YOU DON'T HAVE TO PURCHASE AGAIN, JUST CLICK RE-INSTALL IN THE FLIGHT1 PURCHASE SCREEN!! (I don't mean to shout )Features:These are now the default liveries available:Modern Aviodrome Uiver,TWA,Swiss Air Lines (Neutrality Colours)FSX, with it's numerous versions, and with all hardware available out there, is quite difficult to have working for everybody in a satisfactury way.But now all issues reported by previous customers were fixed.Exterior:- Some small mapping issues fixed- Some small 3D enhancements here and there- Small update to the flightmodelThe power cart (external power) has some enhancements for FSX+Acceleration and FSX+SP2Interior:- 3D modelled gauges all around- All gauge glass have a tooltext, those gauges with more needles have split glass, in order to have appropriate tooltips for all needles- Middle clicking the OBS knob on the old VOR1/2 gauge, will toggle the VOR1/2.- Some 3D enhancements here and there- Some texture enhancements in VC and cabin (check the seatbelt sign )- Modern Bendix radio: this now has by default COM1 and NAV2, and alternatively ADF1 and NAV1 (like already implemented in the old style radio)You can now switch the COM1 to ADF1 (click the com1 text on the gauge face. to go to adf1, and click adf1 text to go back to com1)And you can now switch the NAV2 to NAV1 (click the NAV2 text on the gauge face to go to NAV1, and click NAV1 text to go back to NAV2)Now all avionics in the modern VC can be tuned as well, all with 3D buttons and visibility states. That's it basically. We hope you will use the update, and enjoy our Douglas DC2 even more!New customers, you will all help the Aviodrome Museum, in keeping the Douglas DC2 in flying condition, for you to enjoy in the (European) airshow circuit in the New Year, 2011!More info on: www.dc2-fs.comAnd remember, No DC3 without the DC2.Best regards,Rob Cappers, on behalf of the "UIVER" Teamand a Happy New Year to you all
  13. Hi Damian,Thanks mate, and you too Jim, for sticking with me.It works now!!! Idea 1 did the trick. After the first install, and it didn't work, I started doing things discribed in the manual, manually editing and moving simconect.xml and cfg files. It seems that was not necessary.Anyway, I will start exploring the posibilities of ASA now. Thanks again!!.Cheers, Rob
  14. OK,now I seem to have simconnect 10.0.61242.0 installed, is that the correct version?I have a folder: C:\Program Files\HiFi\ASA\SimConnectFileswith 2 files in it: SimConnect.cfg and SimConnect.xml (attached, changed the extension to txt)I see in the initialisation screen of ASA, the following lines (see also the asa log fle):6:55 AM - ASA load commencing...6:55 AM - Verifying Active Sky Advanced License6:55 AM - FSX Path Value = D:\FSX\6:55 AM - FSX My AppData Path Value = C:\Documents and Settings\Rob\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX\6:55 AM - FSX My Docs Path Value = C:\Documents and Settings\Rob\Mijn documenten\Flight Simulator X Files\6:55 AM - ASA settings have been loaded...6:55 AM - Initializing ASA6:55 AM - FS station database update not needed (unchanged)...6:55 AM - World Magnetic Model has been loaded...6:55 AM - Wx Station Database loaded: 9961 station(s)6:55 AM - Airports Database loaded...6:55 AM - Loading Additional Weather Stations...6:55 AM - SimConnect found and initialized <-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------simconnect should work6:55 AM - ASA controls initialized...6:55 AM - ASA v11.0.0.394 Copyright
  15. Hi,I have been away from my FSX computer for 2 weeks. But here's my answer.Installed beta 2, but still no connection to FSX.I'm sure my installation is OK. It's relatively fresh after a recent HD crash, so I expect no problems on that end. What I'm expecting from you, is actually a product that works, without having to re-install FSX. There's nothing wrong with FSX.So I hope you can put me in the right direction, give me some instructions to get ASA to work. I don't mind some tinkering, but I'm not going to re-install FSX.If I don't get the result I expect, I would like to go for the "I want my money back" option, or maybe the older ASX version, for me to try out. Maybe that works.I'm looking forward to your reply.Best, Rob
  16. HI,I noticed that too.....the problem is, I cannot deinstall SP2 after I deinstalled SP2. It's not in the software list. (I noticed that after I deinstalled SP2 the first time)Should I de-install SP2, then re-install SP1?, and then re-install SP2 (or not). I need SP2. I'm a developer (www.dc2-fs.com) and I want to develope a new plane compatible with SP2. Is ASA not compatible with FSX SP2? I would hope so.Cheers, R.
  17. Hi Jim,now I staretd ASA, and FSX from the FSX icon.Weather set to User defined when I start the flight.attached the new log file, left FSX running for some more time.I figured, either ASA connects, or it doesn't. hence the 3 minutes.I'm off, will test later. I hope we can figure it out in the end.Cheers, R.
  18. Hi Jim,OK, reinstalled SP1 Beta (sorry about that)tried 4 kinds of startup. ASA first, then FSXFSX first, then ASAASA simconnect SP1 first, then FSXFSX firts then ASA simconnect SP1.I tried some in-game refresh of ASA weather i all 4 start-ups, but it just won't pop into FSX.Attached the latest log fileHow now. Maybe I should revert to ASX for now (which I don't have)Cheers, Rob
  19. Hi,No I start with a flight with FSX auto weather (updates)But I guess ASA will override that. Here's a new log file.My current FSX position is not taken over in ASA.I hope you can figure it outCheers, R.
  20. Hi Jim,I'm back, firts thing I tried was start ASA for SP1 mode, and start FSX from within ASA.No connection. Then I started FSX, went into flight mode, stared ASA for SP1 mode.No connection.I decided to uninstall, check my disks and reguistry for leftovers, and re-install.No go. (3rd activation btw)I must say I'm getting a bit dissapointed.I hope you have more idea's.Cheers, R.
  21. Yep, FSX SP2 installed, not accelleration.
  22. OK, Thats cool ;-)XP SP3 here.Cheers, RobPS, out of country until sunday, so no more testing until then. We'll stick to it till it works :(
  23. Hi Jim,sorry to say, it doesn't work. Not with starting ASA first, or FSX first.I had to revalidate my key. (1 validation left?)Do you need any info to check out the problem?Cheers, Rob
  24. different ways:Start ASA, let it initiate, and the start FSX from within ASAor, start FSX, and then start ASA later.Same result. I hope you can help.Best, Rob
