July 10, 20214 yr Hi all, In FS9 and FSX, the scenery has placed in order of preference in layers, so those higher up the list would be displayed on top of any scenery lower down. How does it work in MSFS as I have a scenery for Thanet which includes Ramsgate and then someone has produced a HD version of Ramsgate harbour. As I do not know where the scenery edges are I am not sure if these will cover the same area or overlap. Will the game just show both together, as there is no way to prioritise one?
July 10, 20214 yr It's down to mod creators to account for and accommodate the other mods for their areas. I haven't come across any type of hierarchy. As far as I know it's all equal.
July 10, 20214 yr Commercial Member Scenery are loaded according to the Content.xml file, It Is in your documents/appdata/msfolderwhateverisitcalled Content.xml should be in alphabetical order, Official content first, community After I said should because if you don't let the sim rebuild It by erasing It, Lines are added automatically at the end of that file Anyway, you can't control scenery the way you Want with scenery order alone, you must have a exclusion rectangle in the scenery you want to appear
