Pushback Express 2.1 issues

Featured Replies

I just uninstalled the previous version and installed the latest version (2.1) of Pushback express.  I set up my settings, and then tested the system, and nothing worked as expected.  I had voice control enabled.  I used the PTT then spoke "Flightdeck to ground" to initiate the tug.  I had a response in Australian voice as expected "Go ahead Flightdeck".  After that the tug was already pushing me back although I never initiated it.  I could not get any more responses from the program, and then I changed to window mode to try and see the PE panel, but it had shut down completely.

As an aside suggestion, is there any way to embed the program in to MSFS so having the panel open is not required?  Like with UGCX, you can just use hotkeys and voice from within the sim to complete a pushback without having to open a separate program.  It is cumbersome, and totally immersion killing to have to play around with a panel for pushback, especially when it is marketed as voice control.

The issue with the program going haywaire seems to have solved itself after a restart.  It would be great if my suggestion could one day be implemented though.

Hi Scott,

Glad the reset solved what happened here.

In the next update, you'll be able to open the PBE panel directly via the MSFS tool bar, and then you can use hotkeys to what you want to do.

If you're referring to making all of PBE built directly into MSFS as an in process app... that's technically impossible.   MSFS is very restrictive on what you can run "inside" of it.  Multi threaded speech recognition apps aren't going to happen "inside" of MSFS anytime soon.

Cheers,
