  1. I don't have it myself (yet) but I just saw this is on sale, and from everything I've read, it may be the most complex home simulation aircraft ever made. I've heard nothing but glowing reviews. On sale at the moment, along with every other aircraft at X-Aviation. Still very expensive, but on sale nonetheless. https://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/product_info.php/take-command-hot-start-challenger-650-p-212
  2. I have just ordered the full world bundle, at a crazy $225USD. That's an amazing price for photoreal and autogen for the whole world. I use MSFS more than P3D these days, but even to have autogen for the areas of the world where I have flat PR in P3D, and photoreal for areas that are hard to get coverage for will be awesome. I do still enjoy P3D a lot.
  3. What are you on about? Investigations take years to be completed. You need a break from the internet.
  4. Yes, I have a Gigabyte M32UC curved monitor, and have used it for about 2 years. I love it. Before that I had used a flat 24 inch monitor for years. I didn't ever feel the need to upgrade to 4K or even a larger monitor because I also use a VR headset a lot of the time. I really like the monitor now though. Even though my monitor isn't the largest, and it's only slightly curved, it does feel more immersive, as it takes up most of my FOV. The one downside is that 3D objects do stretch slightly at the outer edges of the monitor, because of a minor fisheye effect. It's nothing like. I barely notice it TBH, because I only focus near the centre of the screen, but if you look at a knob near the edge of the screen compared to a knob near the centre, the knob near the edge of the screen seems larger than it should be. Other than that, and again, I hardly notice that issue, I'm very impressed by the immersion, high quality of the visuals at 4k, and one of the biggest selling points for me was the variable refresh rate, up to 144Hz for mine. This is fantastic to stop stuttering and screen tearing and artefacts.
  5. I already adjusted the content.xml because Navigraph was causing a double runway. Even after I have done that though, and even with Navigraph uninstalled, I have double buildings at LFRJ. I have disabled my entire community folder apart from France VFR Nord-Ouest MSFS, which is the package which contains LFRJ. This would lead me to believe a MSFS version of the airport is interfering, but wheh I search for LFRJ in the MSFS "official" folder, there is no result. Any ideas where this second version is coming from, why France VFR hasn't excluded it, and how i can fix it? TIA.
  6. Loving RKSI Seoul Incheon!
  7. Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been on Avsim for a while. I just contacted Blackbird (Milviz) support and explained my issue. [email protected] They just reset the activation for me and that fixed it.
  8. Hi, I was wondering if someone who has Pilot's FS GLOBAL ULTIMATE 2024 FTX P3D4-6 could tell me, what resolution is Honduras, in Central America? Also what resolution is Spain? Thankyou.
  9. Until August 1st. I would recommend the CowanSim (Cowan Simulation) helicopters for anyone into helicopters, or thinking about trying them. They are up to 61% off during the sale. I have the H125/AS350 and the Bell 206B3 and have been flying especially the H125 flat out since I bought it six months ago, and really love it.

  11. Just did a flight from KPAE to KPDX, and had my worst experience with Beyond ATC yet. 1st issue, there was no option to request clearance at the gate. 2nd issue, when I selected autotune it was tuning some frequencies that were not requested by BATC, and were not on the charts. Worse than that, when I disable BATC auto tune, it would not allow me to tune any other frequency, and kept flicking back immediately to the ones it was auto tuning previously. It worked for pushback and engine start, then taxi, and departure clearance but that was it. Once airborne, it had a mind of it's own. I had one pretty successful flight previously. This time I tried the premium voices for the first time, and it was acting up really bad. Any known issues with the autotune feature doing this? It did not work at all. BTW I have payware Paine Field and Portland Intl.
  12. Solved by Milviz/Blackbird support.
  13. Hi, I purchased the T-38C for P3Dv4, but now it seems my original serial is invalid. Anyone had this issue or know how to workaround. Kind of annoying to lose use of a jet I paid for. Thanks

Anyone reading should sign up for one of Colonel Doug Champagne's streams/flights. I just finished watching one and it was amazing. So much great info, I was really just captivated by the conversation for an hour. He is an ex USAF F-16 and A-10A/C pilot. Two more flights on soon: Go to: http://flight-angels.com/ click on Schedule, and then click on the Special Events and look for F-16 with Colonel Douglas S. Champagne Combat flights by USAF hero fighter pilot, Col. Doug Champagne. Join Doug "Bubbles" Champagne as he puts the F-16 through its paces. There are also flights with ex pilots of the Concorde, in the Concorde, and flights in to Lukla. You need to buy these for $10 for access to the streams, but it is well worth it, as it is all going to 3 kid's charities. All the regular streams are pretty entertaining too, with lots of prizes and auctions, such as the A2A and ORBX ones. Just check the live stream on the Flight Angels website and then open that in youtube. From the youtube page you can just type in the chat box or just watch and listen. Cheers,
  15. I'm not sure about the political situation, it might be an idea. I tried contacting the hospital to give my "suggestion" of how they might improve their service, but I am expecting no miracles, especially considering I live in Australia. I was hoping a few more people would also contact the hospital: http://www.miamivalleyhospital.org/ Again I don't know how much difference it will make, it seems to be a system issue. Cheers,
  16. Please if you can help a fellow flight sim community member out, now is the time to do it. I would like to think that everyone in the flight sim community would come together to help out someone in a time of need, as they have shown to do in the past, and at the moment Owen "HouseHobbit" Perkins needs our help. https://www.gofundme.com/2jqz8v8 http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...f-our-own***** Cheers,

  20. Geez the PMDG 747 has gone up in price! http://www.precisionmanuals.com/ProductCart/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=13 Glad I picked it up a few years back when it was under $200 Million Cheers,
  21. I have found the culprit, and it was staring me in the face. It was a corrupted terrain.cfg. I recently posted over at ORBX about a problem with some odd terrain features using FTX Open LC EU around Heraklion such as fields going up steep hills and buildings sitting on the side of hills, actually planted by the wall of the building. http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/112191-open-lc-eu-fields-etc-on-hills/ JV at ORBX answered and suggested it looked as if my terrain.cfg was corrupted. Over a couple of days I reinstalled FTX Global base and Open LC trying to get my terrain.cfg back to a default or correct state, but it seems to have made matters worse. Just tonight I tried installing the default FSX Steam terrain.cfg from one of the ORBX backup folders, and that did the trick. I flew about 5 test flights tonight from Jersey to Guernsey and every one crashed at the same point until I installed the new terrain.cfg. I'm not sure how it became corrupted, but I'm pretty sure it did, and now the problem seems to be fixed; knock on wood Cheers,
  22. Appreciated, but it depends on what the entries are and of course where and what you are flying. I'm not saying it is the OP's problem, but I have seen VAS used by sceneries thousands of KMs from where I am flying. I also have just under 500 entries at the moment and don't encounter OOMs. If I enable just the PR I have for the US and then New York City and airports, and try and fly in New York, I can not take off without crashing with an OOM. This is what I use also. I used to edit the scenery.cfg manually but this tool saves so much time and is very easy to use. Best of all it's free. Cheers,
  23. Thanks for the replies Gerald and Jim. I wasn't aware of the CTD forum (now I know) so thanks also for moving my post to the correct section. I did consider system problems at first, due to the reasons you state Gerald, such as the random nature of the CTDs, but apart from being pretty low on HDD space on my system drive (still 50+ GB) there's no real reason or other problems that would suggest it is my system. I have also installed a few sceneries lately without testing, and my scenery.cfg is currently bloated so something in there may be the problem. Jim I think there must be some other root cause, as the CTDs have had such different causes. I have only ever had the one crash with the PMDG module as the faulting module. Although I haven't had the PMDG 747 installed very long, I have flown many flights without this causing a crash. As I said above the problem only started very recently, so I am thinking the problem is some scenery I have recently installed. I have just installed a HMS Ark Royal scenery package which was for FS2004 and just upgraded for FSX, so that will be the first thing I isolate. I was trying to get a ship with a ramp for my Harrier in to the sim. This is a great little package so I hope it isn't the cause. Cheers, Scott
  24. Besides high resolution sceneries and/or aircraft I have found something that absolutely brings about OOMs is the amount of scenery you have active in your scenery library. I don't know how or why it works this way, but even if you are flying on the other side of the world to a particular scenery and it is active in your scenery library, the scenery you are nowhere near can be loading in the background and adding to your VAS usage. Not all scenery will, but some scenery will. If you use some type of process explorer to track the VAS, you will be able to see exactly which files are adding to the VAS. It is inconvenient to do so, but sometimes you may be better off just editing your scenery.cfg to enable just the areas you will be flying to, from and perhaps scenery along your route of flight. Just checking/unchecking scenery may suffice(I'm not 100% sure on this), but you definitely don't need to uninstall anything, just disable it or remove the entry from your Scenery.cfg. You can save different scenery.cfgs and label them for different geographical areas you may be flying. Cheers,
