Living on the water!

Featured Replies

Given that sea level rise is going to be a huge issue, with the US alone having to spend $400 billion on defences by 2040, the notion of cities on the ocean seems a great idea.

I love this seament,  stick a metal bar in the ocean and the minerals form around it.

OTEC power generation sounds great too.

Cool ideas! It's a shame I probably won't be around to see it come true.

Full on cities are a way off yet, but there are plenty of floating dwellings.

Since Florida is so low it's ripe for sea level rising and would be ideal for cities on the ocean.   But looking at the picture on the screen introducing the video I wonder how it would stand up to Cat 4 or 5 hurricane.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

Not all that well I suspect, Noel!

Hurricanes were mentioned in the video.

One of the concepts mentioned could withstand a Cat 5 hurricane.
