July 29, 20214 yr I just started up the latest version for the first time hoping to test everything out in the TBM. I haven't been able to get off the ground as I have no throttle control. I use the Thrustmaster T.16000M w/TWCS Throttle system. The joystick works fine for control surfaces but no response from the throttle at all. I've tried a number of things: Double-checked Controls setting for TBM (all were correct) and the Options menu shows the sim responding properly. Resaved for the heck of it and restarted the flight. No Response, Deleted the TBM profile, then recreated it. Once again, the Options menu shows all assignments responding correctly. Saved it, recreated flight with TBM - no throttle response. Loaded C172 aircraft instead and changed to 172 profile. Throttle worked. Reloaded flight with TBM - no throttle. Any ideas? I guess I can try with one of the other aircraft but it's strange that I can't fly the TBM. Randall Rocke
July 29, 20214 yr Is the throttle stuck over in the feathered position to the right in the TBM. I had to click it wth the left then right mouse button to get it over to the left, then my hotas control would operate the throttle. I have since seen that you I need to set one of my split throttles to the feather axis and this should also work.
July 29, 20214 yr Author I am also unable to control it with my mouse. I can grab it with the left button and move it a short distance up the feathered channel but that's it. I'm unable to get it to any usable position. The right-select button does nothing. I just noticed that someone posted a comment regarding the manual over-ride lever. I guess I'll try that next. Control+E is certainly broken for the TBM since SU5. Moving the throttle left is tricky with the mouse. I have the Airbus TCS, so essentially a tweaked version of what you have, and the problem is the same. Once you have the prop unfeathered, you should be ok. July 29, 20214 yr Author I'll give the over-ride a go later today (hopefully). After 2 hours trying to get basic things to work I now have no time left to fly. 🙂 Randall Rocke
July 29, 20214 yr Funny you bring this up... have had 2 IFSD's in the TBM so far - both right after a good shot of turbulence at altitude... SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.
July 29, 20214 yr Author No joy! I'm unable to fly the TBM at all - still no throttle control. Moving the over-ride didn't do anything. Randall Rocke

July 30, 20214 yr Author Yep - can't do anything but move it with the mouse a short distance - unable to move it to the unfeathered side and absolutely no response with throttle control. On another note, now attempting to fly the G36/g36 Turbo and not having much success. Flight controls (and throttle) are responding but trim is way off now. Also, I'm trying several iterations of the NAV system (default g1000, GTN750, etc.) and am unable to obtain proper nav response and AP connection - I can use HDG mode and that's about it. Basically, I have been unable to successfully fly anything yet since the update, Randall Rocke
July 30, 20214 yr For what it's worth.. I have Saitek Yoke and throttle quadrant and during the startup procedure, when it's time to move the TBM throttle lever to the left to unfeathered position, if I move the prop lever on the Saitek throttle quadrant from 0 to 100 (full forward, even though the TBM doesn't have a prop lever) the throttle lever on TBM jumps from right to left and then I can operate it normally. At first I wasn't able to fly the TBM with Saitek controls but now I can. Maybe this helps or sheds some light on what's going on. Tomaz Drnovsek My FSX Videos My AVSIM Gallery
July 30, 20214 yr Author Looks like things are really messed up - hopefully, what ever has happened to the throttle controls will be one of the things they are addressing in the patch. Randall Rocke
