I chose the new G1000 NXi release as part of my update.  As this is not an outside mod, how do I access it or make sure it's a part of the chosen aircraft?  It appears that there are now "extra" aircraft versions in the Hangar area for some models (such as the C172 g1000), but there isn't any way to see if one of them contains the NXi (the aircraft display menu cuts off the descriptions).

I'm guessing that you don't add any WT g1000 mods to the Community folder and choose the version from the aircraft hangar menu... but, which is it?

The G1000NX replaces the standard G1000 wherever it is fitted. All you need to do is "purchase" it for free from the in-game marketplace.

You might get issues with mods that depends on the old WT G1000 mod.

If you use the NXi mod, you must delete the wt g1000 v0.4.0 mod. They conflict with one another.

The NXi replaces all g1000 avionics in the game.

Thanks for the info.  I did "purchase" it - just wasn't sure how to access it.  I figured I should remove the WT g1000 from the Community folder (which I did), but now there are 2 versions of the C172 G1000 in the aircraft hangar.

If the NXi replaces all g1000 avionics, why are there 2 versions and what are the differences?

I also noticed that there is now a new version of the standard WT g1000 for SU5, so I'm not sure how that plays with the rest of the options.

Are you sure you're not seeing a float version of the C172 G1000? They added a new variation, floats and skis for landing on water and snow in SU5. Hence why you're probably seeing multiple C172 with G1000's.
