July 30, 20214 yr Hi! Have SU5 installed and find that the aircraft throttle isn't working in the three aircraft I've tried: Cessna 152, 172 and Caravan. I'm using a CH Eclipse. The weird part is that the throttle in the cockpit follows the movement of the CH throttle fine, but for some reason the engine doesn't respond. Has anyone else had this? And any ideas how to cure it? Thanks!
July 30, 20214 yr I had TrimWeel and Rudder working oddly. Reset Sensitivity to default, re-inserted my previous values (make notes in advance) and they are properly working again. July 30, 20214 yr Are you hearing an increase in engine? Check your parking brake is released as the toggle for parking brake is one of the functions that was broken in the last update. Sounds like your controls are still mapped okay if you are seeing the throttle in the cockpit respond. Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB, Win 11. MSFS2020. Moza, MFG, Fulcrum & Virpil controllers. July 31, 20214 yr Author Thanks for the replies. I've done a bit more research into this. Haven't tried all aircraft, but the Pitts Special and the Extra 300 both work fine! The Cessna 152, 172, Carenado 182, Bonanza, Optica and Jabiru all have the problem with the throttle shown moving, things like manifold pressure and fuel flow (if visible) moving as well, but no increase in rpm. If I try CTRL-E with these in some cases it makes no difference, in some it appears to try to start the engine (rpm increases but drops back after a few second) and in the Jabiru the throttle works, but only up to 1100 rpm! Re. the parking brake, on the Bonanza, C152 if I release it I get the Jabiru behaviour, but it eventually settles back to 500 rpm and the throttle does nothing. On the C172 it goes up to 900 rpm with the fuel flow oscillating between 0 and 12 (the Bonanza does this as well). Any other ideas about what is going on? Edited July 31, 20214 yr by Malcolm Street
August 1, 20214 yr Hi Malcom, The same thing happened to me after SU5. Only that with me, I lost throttle #1 in all aircraft and all throttle power in all single engine aircraft. Oddly, the only aircraft that was spared from this was the last aircraft I flew before updating to SU5. It was the B-747.( although, the B-747 now does not announce the V1 callout at 135Kts anymore ,it announces it after I've been in the air a couple of minutes.) As far as throttle #1, I also see the throttle in the cockpit advance, but the power doesn't spool up. When I go to the the Controls section, everything also appears normal and all my Profiles are there and when I test them, they all work perfectly. I do notice, however, that in the B-787, the fuel cutoff switch is in the OFF position, as well as the start switch in the Overhead panel is stuck on 'Start' instead on 'Normal' for engine 1. No matter what I do, I cannot get it started. I really wish that there's a way to fix this without having to reinstall the simulator because I have too many settings to customize and quite a few profiles that took a long time to create and perfect.
August 8, 20214 yr Hi Malcom, I have exactly the same problem, I have tried everything and I think I only have the issue of reinstalling. My version is from Steam, do you know the problems it can bring, is the pilot's profile lost? Thank you very much
