AI Assist

Featured Replies

Anybody try this yet?  I'm having it fly one of my routes in the Daher and it is a gas.  Talk about lazy flying.

All other aspects of the flight are normal without any of the recently reported defects and scenery / sky / fps  are awesome as usual.

BTW my 3060TI is running at 100% fulltime just like with SU4 but using about 20% less VRAM.

Cheers

I've tried it and it seems to work pretty good. I used it to take me to certain way points and airports, but haven't tried it out on having the AI fly the entire flight plan from taxi, takeoff to approach yet. But if it can manage to do that without any errors, I'd be extremely happy.

You need to keep an eye on it as it flew me into a mountain the other day.  LOL

That's not a good sign then. AI assist has been a feature I've always looked forward to using and hope that it would work correctly. Hats off to Asobo if the AI is smart enough to fly your flightplan from point A to B without any weird mishaps.

I think I caused the issue with a bad approach setup.  I'm letting it do the whole flight today.

Fun nonetheless.

Let me know how well it goes. What plane are you using for AI assist btw? Can AI assist start up the plane from cold and dark and taxi and perform a takeoff following your flight plan?

It won't avoid mountains, it's just meant for point a to point b in short distances.

Tried it in the Bora Bora places to explore they added and it was great for the island to island hops...

I'll also add my wife came in as I was banking over the water to setup for landing and commented on how incredible and realistic it looked.

Well it started the G36 at Prince Rubert taxied to the runway (wrong end), I slewed it to the other end, it took off and climbed to 16,500 and pointed towards Bella Cola once I engaged the AP.

Should be fun to see it try to land there.  😉
