What exactly are you guys advocating for?  Do you want a static simulator with minor updates every 2-years? Do you want an ecosystem where 3rd party vendors can charge exaggerated prices for minor advancements?  If that's your cup of tea, there's already a simulator that provides that "service." For me, I'll take GBs of updates that continue to advance and expand the simulator to different markets, even at the cost of some hurdles.  The latter seems like a small price to pay for the advancements we're getting...

Thats funny, Some time ago I bought a tiny add on. You could download it for a month for a fee (or a year for a larger fee) . After SU5 the add on needed an update. Guess what!  You had to pay again.  I removed the add on. If an dev implements new functionality I can understand, but charging for an update after an Asobo update p..... me off. (the name of the add on or developer is not important)

Isn't that on the 3rd party developers?  They're charging a fee developing a product for a dynamic platform they KNOW is undergoing significant revisions.  Why is this Asobo's fault?  I think you're anger is misplaced...

Firstly I'm not mad and if you read my comment I'm disappointed in the developer for charging for a fix, not at Asobo.

Ahhh...my bad, my friend.  Yes, the developer has an obligation to support thier products through the development cycle!
