Nah .. not for me .. that is pure "witchcraft" .. I like the ride on "update train" so every now and then, makes life interesting ..

The issue about beta testing is the developers have to listen to what the beta testers found wrong and fix them. I can remember beta testing one program for a flight sim and we worked for weeks fixing a problem, before we finally solved it. It required downloading a new version each time, till we got it right.

Once you realize that the top brass have said the date of the release is going to be X you pretty much know how this story is going to end. That’s development at many companies today. 

Asobo does a great job given the constraints they work within. This sim is stunning.

You cannot adapt to some of these issues, especially as a freeware developer. I do not have time to build my own editor, nor restart the environment 100x. The only adaptation I will be doing is waiting for the next patch. It's like telling someone that has a broken image editor to draw it by hand and scan it in, no thank you. There is a big difference between nuisance bugs and rendering an environment "productively unusable". 

However, they did do an ok job rectifying some of their in-game issues, but DEV mode is still on hold.

Just disconnect your internet when you start the sim,then once it's at the main menu reconnect to the internet. Everything will start working but no forced update

A bit too late for that now, as I would have had to pre-plan that during SU 4.

The updates have introduced bugs. But they have also introduced improvements. And the best news is, as proven, bugs can be squashed.

I personally look forward to the coming updates, with the ability to cache assets rendered outside the current field of view, to hopefully eliminate the pop-in/draw-in. I mean, what we have now is good, but for people with spare RAM, these forthcoming options will be even better.

Smooth sim. GREAT FPS,  totally 'happy with' visuals....I don't wanna get on the next stagecoach to whatever...happy to stay here in SU5HF town...called Hope Valley....Mountie Jack, tell the Stage Coach driver, he can peel on out, without  me....

I whole heartedly agree with you,

My sim after yesterday's hotfix is just incredible. I have even done a few flights in the A32NX which I never could enjoy as performance was horrible. A solid 60FPS and smooth as butter with stock High end preset & live weather. I know I only have a 1080P TV but I tell you everything just looks fantastic and my system now has plenty of headroom. This is the first time in a year I have owned MSFS I have flown it more than X-Plane 11

Let's hope it stays like this until it gets broken in WU6 lol

Yes I'm pretty much convinced that we have to thank Micro$oft for this mess.

Hopefully they will be true to what they promised last year and we will soon have the sliders to make use of our PCs

Knowing them, they'll make some sliders for the PC version, but you'll need to buy an XBox controller to operate them. 🤣

Oh, and despite the artwork for the sliders being 200 Mb's worth of JPEGs, the patch which they'll be included with will be 600 Gbs. 😆
