I did a reinstall of MSFS 2020 and since then I've been unable to locate where the MS Store put my installation and hence, the Community folder so I can put my stuff back in.

I've tried right click -> More on the sim tile but I don't have the option to Open file location. Searching my drives for "Community" doesn't turn up a result either. I'd really like to find the sim's installation folder so I can tweak cfg files.

@Reader I followed all of the instructions in that link (custom installation to my D drive), and I can't even find the MSFS 2020 folder. I've tried searches and everything with no luck. In DEV mode, I still can't find the Community folder or access to it. 😥

I’m the same, currently doing a format and a clean install. However getting the install going is very tricky, it’s not wanting to start downloading, very frustrating.

I'm currently reinstalling myself. So I can't take any actions for the next few hours.

If you created a folder and named it such as MSFS 2020 before directing the Content installer to place the content into that, then the Community folder should be at MSFS 2020\Community. If you just let the installer use the default location then the Community folder could well be at C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\Packages\ Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community.

As Windows hides the appdata folder by default, you would not be able to see it unless you changed the Windows File Explorer View setting to "Show hidden files, folders and drives".

The store only gave me the option of picking a installation drive, not the folder. Show hidden files is on.

I FOUND IT with %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community

Now, all I have to do is wait the number of hours it'll take for the full reinstall and I'm good to go. Thanks for your patience guys!

Must say not regretting starting again. Clean windows clean flight sim, all my add ins back on, was 35-40 FPS before update on high end settings, now 55-60, happy camper. How you get on @BEARlyThereCDN? Hope you got it all sorted

Everything seems fine now @garlicbread11 except for my slow Caravan speed I reported in another thread. Throttle and prop pinned to the firewall, straight and level flight, nominal wind conditions and my top speed is only 143 knots. Climbing is difficult too - 1200fmp takes me to near stall speed. 😥 I'll be flying the TBM shortly after the Blue Jays game. I hope I don't have any speed/power issues with that since it's a nearly 1000 nautical mile flight.

WOW! 😵

I taxi out to 8 at CYTZ, I'm cleared for takeoff, as soon as I roll to the runway, the throttle pins to max, my airspeed indicator is showing 166 TAS and my plane is frozen in place. It won't roll at all. I gave control to my co-pilot and it's still sitting in place not moving at all. I try to F1 the throttle, it rolls back to Taxi, TAS drops but suddenly pins itself again and TAS goes up with the plan sitting in place.

I have NO idea what to do here.

I restarted the flight and everything is fine now. 🥴

850 nm to go. We shall see.

ATC is still nagging me to climb to my assigned altitude even though all indicators inside the aircraft and in LNM have me at that altitude.

Not experiencing any wild temp or wind changes.
