August 10, 20214 yr I used to be able to use the slew mode without getting CTD's past few months. Just got a CTD after slewing over Alaska in Cessna Longitude 38,000ft. Internet Stream is at 100mbps. Thanks. August 10, 20214 yr Not sure, but I have had this. While slewing, your system is loading huge amounts of scenery, so I guess it is being heavily taxed. I stands to reason, that perhaps it is simply overloading your system. Of course it shouldn't but that's the only reason I can think of Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

If a scenery addon crashes the sim, it is probable that it does it in slew mode as it does in normal mode. Another explanation is that the (modded ?) avionics doesn’t like the overflow of data brought by the slew. August 10, 20214 yr Hi, It was one of the first things I had learned from the first day since I bought MSFS. In my experience, if you hold the slew for a certain time, the possibility of experiencing CTD is very high. So when I use it I do for a very short time, then I stop, fly a little more, slew a little bit and move on. The same goes for the fsmp panel-map utility. If I use the teleport repeatedly it causes me CTD. Cheers!
